Amanda Dziedzic is a Melbourne based glass artist who loves to make, and over the years I have found working in glass to be the most rewarding on all fronts.

Amanda has completed a two year traineeship at JamFactory in Adelaide, a research residency in Tokyo Japan, undertaken studio placement in the UK, participated at Pilchuck Glass School in Seattle and recently completed a residency at Northlands Glass in Scotland.

Her artwork pieces, while technically challenging are universal in their appeal. The production of her work is quite clean and simple, inspired by Japanese aesthetics. She terms herself as a total colour enthusiast “I just love it. It excites me, it motivates me, it influences my everyday life. I love how colour can alter a mood and I love how colour can create an atmosphere. The biggest influence in my work as a whole is nature. I think plant life is fascinating. Probably the most beautiful design out there. The pattern and colours found in plants will always inspire me.”
