Weddings’ aren’t a simple thing to put together, and choosing your venue is no different. Venue selection is one of the first and most exciting adventures you will be taken on as the soon to be Mr and Mrs.

Date and Availability

It is best to have a time of year in mind. Many Brides and Grooms will have a preferred month or season in which they are wanting to have their wedding. It you narrow it down to a particular date this will discount many venues very quickly, as venues book up fast! Be open and explore a Friday, Saturday or Sunday, lunch may even be an option you could explore.

Do Your Research

Contact the venue directly and have a chat, run through what they are able to offer and get a feel for the service they provide. Always make a time to visit, walk through, sit enjoy a coffee and imagine your day.

You want your guests to enjoy your wedding without having to organise transportation or be the designated driver.  It’s wise to consider when selecting your venue how much accommodation you require for your family and friends. Many of your guests attending may be travelling from Interstate or overseas.

Ensure your desired venue has sufficient accommodation, think about carparking, is there enough and is it easily accessible. Is there a charge? Is there a reservations manager to assist with bookings?
