McLaren Vale – Behind the Scenes

This day tour explores South Australia’s best coast, including some of the state’s best wines, food and nature, in an intimate, behind the scenes charter in the comfort of a luxury SUV.

We begin your exciting day with a short walk into the ancient Onkaparinga Gorge where we will be exploring Australia’s 600 million-year-old history and some of its indigenous stories. After that, we will enter McLaren Vale wine country, where we will be visiting two of the oldest vineyards in the region. Immerse yourself in Wirra Wirra’s historic ironstone cellars with a behind-the-scenes tour and tasting. The next stop will be Samson Tall where we go on a winery tour before experiencing its stunning single-vineyard wines. Enjoy a three-course lunch at the Salopian Inn followed by a tour of the Red Poles Indigenous Art Gallery. After lunch, you’ll get a guided tour of the most unique cellar door in the country, the d’Arenberg Cube, before finishing with an owners-led masterclass at Bekkers Wine. Our experience concludes with a drive along the Fleurieu coastline with its beautiful pristine beaches.
